Method of Preparation
Preheat oven 180 degrees. Sift Maida, baking soda, salt and cocoa together and keep aside. In a bowl, beat butter and sugar together with a blender until it becomes soft and fluffy.
Then add egg into it and mix. Again add maida mix slowly and mix with a spatula also add red color either powder nor liquid. Add vanilla essence. Add buttermilk. Add vinegar and baking soda and mix well slowly with a spatula only.
Then put it in a cake mould or tin by applying tin with oil or butter or keep a butter paper and pour the batter into it and bake at 180 degree for 30 minutes. Once the cake is done, keep it for cooling. Once it cooled take out the cake from the tin and slice the cake into three layers.
After that, take the first layer soak with sugar syrup. Then coat it with icing. Keep the second layer of cake . Soak it apply icing. Again, keep the third layer, soak it apply icing.
After that soak the sides too with sugar syrup . And cover the sides with icing. Keep in fridge for 1/2 an hour to set. After setting take out of the fridge and apply one more coat of icing and keep again in the fridge to set. After setting take out the cake from the fridge and decorate and serve it.
For garnishing you can use the cake part only just mince and apply or sprinkle on top sides all according to your idea also mix whipping cream with colour and pipe out designs with it now red velvet is ready to serve enjoy the mouthwatering effects of red velvet.
For icing: 200 gm cream cheese: 115gm butter: 240_300gm icing sugar : 1cup whipping cream. Mix together till fluffy. Icing is ready.
