
Amla Pickle | Nelliykka Pickle
Ingredients
Amla (Nelliykka) – 250gm
Garlic – 10cloves
Red Chilli Powder – 2 TableSpoon
Tamarind – Small amla round
Asafoetida – 1/4 Teaspoon
Method of Preparation
Pressure cook the amla adding little water and salt. Remove the seeds from the cooked Amla. Heat oil in a pan and splutter the mustard, add a teaspoon of Fenugreek and the finely chopped garlic too. Stir well. Then add chilli powder also the cooked amla. Boil with little water and add the tamarind soaked water and salt to this, Add Asafoetida and remove from the burner. Change it to a glass bottle and keep it in the fridge once cool.
